Pros and Cons for thinning your hair?

My hair is thick, so thick that it is frizzy, and out of control wavy[bordering curly].

Would thinning my hair be a good idea?

Any Pros, Cons, or personal experience?

Or any other alternatives to make my non-frizzy, smooth, sleek, etc?

Pros and Cons for thinning your hair?

Hair thinning is a wonderful option as long as your stylist chooses the right type of thinning for your hair and doesn't over thin it. I can't personally tell you what type of thinning would be best, because every stylist has their own strengths and weaknesses, and some have better luck with certain methods than with others. As long as you trust the stylist who is cutting you (if you don't have a regular stylist, I would recommend an upscale salon for this because their employees often tend to have more education and will be more willing to take their time), and tell him/her you just want a little bit thinned this time to see if it works for you, you should have no problems.

I woudl consider different products, or a new cut.

Personally i think that thicker hair is beautiful, and nobody's hair is ever as bad as they make it seem.

I would recommend going to a professional hair place-- do NOT go to that 10 dollar one around the corner, they don't do a good job..

having it thinned out would help and use a serum to control the frizz......
