How do you style hair without using heat? Is hairspray safe on thinning hair?

Think hairdryer might have dried out my scalp. Signs of thinning on top and to the right of head. Hairdryer and hot styling brush were 'must haves' until reading best answer to my 'hairthinning' question a few days ago.

The best thing to do is to spend some time on using rollers in your hair, after you shampoo your hair dry it real good and apply a setting lotion to damp hair and use rollers to set your hair and let it air dry instead of the dryer that will give you some volume with out drying out the hair,mist it with a spritz and your good to go.

hairspray is not safe for any hair wat so eva cuz it can cause split ends and cuz it can take out oils that u need

I hate blowdrying my hair and using hair spray so the salon I went to suggested I use a spray gel! Works wonders I have garnier fructis spray gel and it gives great volume for a low low price of $3

Hairspray is okay to use. It deosn't damage your hair if you get the organic stuff. If you use too much heat, yes your scalp is probably dried out. I think you can get scalp cream to moisturize it...
