i have really thick hair;volumous, and it doesnt stay straight all day when i straighten it in the morning so if i wanted to get my hair thinner, what would i have to do and how much would it cost to do it?

You should try to use gel or hairspray because it would tame your hair while keeping the moisture in your hair. Why do you want to get your hair thinned? Having thick hair means that your hair is healthy. Do not mistreat it and get thinned!

My friend has really thick wavy hair, and it used to take her hours to blow dry and straighten her hair..then she got this stuff from Redken called smooth down. She puts it in her hair when its wet and then she blow drys it, and she said she barely has to straighten her hair at all. Maybe just one or 2 small pieces. And trust me, her hair dont straighten easliy. Its only wavy but because it so thick, it takes alot to get it straight...so this product must work pretty well.

If you get layers it will make your hair LOOK thinner... but I don't know if it will help make it easier to straighten.
