Try using a regular iron, like the kind for clothes, It sounds silly, but I swear they really work! They get hotter than regular flat irons, so they flatten your hair more. I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself though, it's a little tricky.
My hair is very thick, and I want to wear it down but its way too thick, and want it to be thin. Any ideas?

Go to a salon and get it razor cut into layers and that have texturizing shears used on it. This will completely cut down on bulk, but it's going to take a lot of razoring (do not attempt at home) to help if your hair is really bulky and it will take more maintanance.

IF you really, really, really want it thin, I'd say perm it. Be sure you want it for real because there's no way to get a perm out except growing it out, (thats, why they call it a permanent)...I have one I'm trying to grow out right now...otherwise get a really good straightner, I recommend a CHI, they're cheap on ebay.

Just go to a hair salon and tell them that you want layers cut off and that'll make it as thin as you want and then if they cut too much off, use volumizing shampoo/conditioner and it will help

okay lets see you could try pressing or creaming it or if you if want to you can go to the hairdresser and they will do it for you or if you want you can blowdry it at home but make sure to use oil

have a hairdresser use thinning shears then razor cut it then use an straightener and some gloss serum to finish it off.
