What's a good way to moisturize hair w/out going broke?

I have very fine thin hair that used to be extremely oily. I dye my hair alot to hide my gray and it has taken it toll on my hair. Everyone suggests different things for deep conditioning, but I can't justify to myself speing $8.00 on a product that there is only enough of to use once. Any ideas?

try this: blend 1 egg with 3 teaspoons of honey. apply the mixture on your hair (while it's still dry) before washing it with your regular shampoo. Leave it 5 minutes. Do this for two weeks and you'll see results. good luck

I use a few drops of oil rubbed into just the very ends every day, its very cheap and won't make your scalp any oilier

buy some mega cholesterol conditioning treatment. sally's beauty shop usually has a lot of those. its only four dollars for a big bottle.

all you have to do is put it on after you shower and wrap a towel around your head. you have to keep it warm though. so you could buy one of those machines you sit under or steam your towels.

i have a flaky and dry scalp, and need moisture or my head is itchy. i found this shampoo, Neutrogena Triple Moisture that works well for me. its not professional or anything, but it has natural extracts and doesnt leave my hair wrecked like some moisturizing shampoos. good luck!

Don't laugh, but my mom used to put real mayonaisse in my hair and then put me under one of those sitting dryers. The oil from the mayo would drench my hair and make it sooooo soft. I am 33 and I still do this once a month or so.(works, and is cheap sounds like a winner to me!!!)

i do too. just find cheap but good shampoo and conditioner, its out there. or, maybe conditioning isnt the answer. maybe u should cut back on all other oily hair products to keep your hair from getting too oily.

I misuse my scalp and the top of my hair with conditioner (any conditioner) and leave it in as long as I want. It helps and doesn't take a lot of money. P.S. I buy my conditioner at the dollar store and my hair still feels and looks great! (LOL, I feel like I'm on a hair commercial.)
